Getting Head(s)

So I know what you're thinking, "What the hell is this?"  Well, I've got a plan.  It's a good plan and we'll talk about that later.  As for right now, we'll just say these are coming along well.  Let me know what you think.
I've also attached a couple of pics of my mold for Hot Dog Man mark II.  Tune in next week for more updates!

Back To The Lab Again

Hey there, loyal reader, sorry for the hiatus.
I have finally got things back in order and I can't wait to show you what I'm working on!  So I've taken one of my more popular pieces "untitled man in a hot dog bun number 1" and made a "number2".  There were always things about the original that bugged me, so with this one I have something a little more naturalistic and the final pieces will be cast in silicone!  I'm very excited.  At the very end here, I have a little hint of what's next.  This is the new BIG PROJECT.   Super secret.  I'll be posting every Tuesday night from here out, so stay tuned.

The Prodigal Tongue

So, it's been too long. I'm sorry about that. I've got a lot in the works now, but I promise, I will be updating a lot more in the coming weeks/months.

Firstly, I'm happy to say that I have a solo show here in Boston coming up this December. It will be a show of recent sculpture and paintings and maybe some intervention thrown in for good measure. It's all rather exciting. (details to come)

Secondly, I figured it was time for a tongue update. After a hibernation period in the Night Gallery, the tongue rides again! This time the tongue makes it's way to retirement. I'll let the pictures do the talking.

And so "Lawn Tongue" retires as a conceptual art piece to do what it loves best... Hang out with shirtless party-dudes. The current whereabouts of the tongue are unknown. Thanks to Andy Hadle for the the assist. Maybe we shall meet again, Lawn Tongue.

I'm not a system. I'm a man.

Hey Folks,
Well, we've been in Boston about 6 months now. After surviving the move and the flood, I'd say we're ready for anything. Lately I've been making work that is a response to living in the city. There is a marked lack of contemporary public art here in Boston and I aim to change that.
Enjoy! There are a few more pics and some descriptions on my webpage http://www.nathaniellewis.net/ I've also had the chance to update the illustrate and sketch section.
