The Prodigal Tongue

So, it's been too long. I'm sorry about that. I've got a lot in the works now, but I promise, I will be updating a lot more in the coming weeks/months.

Firstly, I'm happy to say that I have a solo show here in Boston coming up this December. It will be a show of recent sculpture and paintings and maybe some intervention thrown in for good measure. It's all rather exciting. (details to come)

Secondly, I figured it was time for a tongue update. After a hibernation period in the Night Gallery, the tongue rides again! This time the tongue makes it's way to retirement. I'll let the pictures do the talking.

And so "Lawn Tongue" retires as a conceptual art piece to do what it loves best... Hang out with shirtless party-dudes. The current whereabouts of the tongue are unknown. Thanks to Andy Hadle for the the assist. Maybe we shall meet again, Lawn Tongue.

I'm not a system. I'm a man.

Hey Folks,
Well, we've been in Boston about 6 months now. After surviving the move and the flood, I'd say we're ready for anything. Lately I've been making work that is a response to living in the city. There is a marked lack of contemporary public art here in Boston and I aim to change that.
Enjoy! There are a few more pics and some descriptions on my webpage http://www.nathaniellewis.net/ I've also had the chance to update the illustrate and sketch section.

First attempt...way too small
