More Making Children's Books

This week I have been working hard and I've got some more pages blocked out for the children's book.  I'll be doing some digital color tests once I get up to at least 30 pages.  I really want some feed back, do you think doing digital color is a cop out or just another tool.  I've got this analogue monkey on my back and I feel like I should legitimately paint it.  Please leave comments.

  1. do both on a page with strong color and see how you feel. Looks amazing so far!

  2. There is something to be said about doing it by hand. But then from a marketing standpoint you want to keep it looking fresh, clean and new for the kiddies. I think your analog chops are pretty sharp though man. If you don't like how they turn out, hop on the computer and play with the scans. either way, your eventually going to find what you want. I keep wanting to see a Mouse Guard color style, but maybe a little more sunny. loving the life and movement of the drawings Dude!

  3. Maybe a few balanced sunny glows on each page to maintain the magic and warmth of the story. very cool.
